Home Network and Device Support From Someone Who Actually Runs One

A lot of “home IT support” is really just “someone who’s good with computers, for hire.” What we bring is different: a genuinely maintained home network — real monitoring, real segmentation between smart-home devices and everything else, real automated health checks — running every day in an actual household, not a theoretical setup we read about once.

That’s not a sales pitch, it’s just what the home network looks like when the person building it also depends on it working. Smart lighting, presence-based automations, a properly separated network for devices that don’t need to talk to your laptop or phone — all of it is stuff we build and run ourselves before we’d ever suggest it for someone else’s home.

What we actually help with

Getting your home network genuinely secure, not just password-protected. A shared WiFi password isn’t network security. Segmenting IoT and smart-home devices onto their own network, away from the devices that hold your actual passwords and personal files, closes a gap most home networks have wide open — a compromised smart plug shouldn’t be a path to your laptop.

Smart home setup that actually works together. Lights, locks, sensors, voice assistants — these often come from different ecosystems that don’t naturally talk to each other well. We set up home automation that’s actually coordinated, not five separate apps that each control one thing.

Device support that doesn’t waste your time. PC and laptop troubleshooting, network printer setup that actually stays working, home network configuration that survives a router reboot — straightforward, unglamorous work, done right the first time.

Protecting the people using the network, not just the network itself. Password manager setup, phishing awareness for family members who aren’t tech-focused, and making sure the accounts that actually matter (banking, email, photos) have real protection on them — this is often the part that gets skipped, and it’s usually the part that matters most.

Why this is different from calling a generic repair shop

A repair shop fixes what’s in front of them. We think about the whole picture — how your devices, network, and smart home setup work together, and whether that setup is actually protecting your family or just technically functioning. It’s the same standard we hold our own home network to.
